If you need to make a payment during this time, call 866-488-5011, visit the website payment portal HERE, or you can make a cash payment at our 24-hour kiosk located at our main office (128 Wilson Road, Sanford). Any outages can be reported 24-hours a day by calling 877-766-6769 or texting "OUT" to 919-774-4900. You can also visit our Outage Center to view outages or for information on reporting an outage.
Did you receive a High Usage text? If so, we’ve noticed a recent increase in your electricity consumption, which may be linked to the extreme temperatures we’ve been experiencing. To monitor your usage, please visit your Online Portal or use our Central EMC app.
A sudden spike in usage could indicate an issue with one of your home systems. We suggest checking your heat pump and water heater to ensure they are functioning properly. You may also want to inspect for any possible leaking pipes, which can contribute to increased energy consumption.
