Electric Billing Rate Adjustment Necessary
Effective June 1, an adjustment will be made to all Central Electric general service, residential, commercial, and security light billing rates. The rate adjustment is necessary to address continued increases in wholesale power costs and the rising operating and maintenance expenses required to maintain a reliable electric system.
Beginning with bills received on or after June 1, residential accounts will see a 7% adjustment to the kWh energy rate and a $4 adjustment to the basic facility charge, changing from $34.00 to $38.00 per month. The exact impact on each bill will vary based on individual energy use.
While a rate adjustment is necessary at this time, your cooperative remains committed to managing costs responsibly and investing wisely to provide reliable, affordable power for our members now and into the future.
