Supporting Education Through Scholarships

Each year, Central Electric awards scholarships to CCCC or SCC students who are Central Electric members or live in a home served by the cooperative. Recipients are selected by the foundations of their respective schools based on scholastic achievement, extracurricular activities, financial need and a written essay.

These scholarships support local students and reflect our commitment to investing in future community leaders through access to higher education opportunities. By helping students further their education close to home, the cooperative supports opportunities that can have a lasting impact on the region.

The impact of the program is perhaps best reflected in the words of scholarship recipient Jasmine Walker, who shared her appreciation after receiving the award. “This scholarship not only eases the financial burden of pursuing my studies but also motivates me to keep striving for excellence. Knowing that there are individuals and organizations like Central Electric who believe in my potential encourages me to stay focused, work hard, and make the most of every opportunity.” Walker added, “The feeling of having someone else believe in me is ecstatic.”

Central Electric believes that investing in education is an investment in the future.
